Hull Stingrays have been elected to British ice hockey's top-flight division - the Elite League. After recently, playing in the British National League and English Premier League, the Stingrays will compete with the UK's big clubs next season.
Club owner Mike Pack told BBC Radio Humberside: "It's fantastic news, because next year we'll be entertaining the best teams in the country."
The Stingrays are coached by Great Britain national coach Rick Strachan.
