Stoke-on-Trent trainer Jennie Candlish is bullish about the chances of her hurdler Cross Kennon winning at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Cross Kennon is heading to the festival after winning the feature hurdle race at Haydock Park on Saturday. Candlish, 35, said: "The horse just keeps finding more after every run and he's such a massive part of the yard. "He's a genuine horse, we hope the taps are left on at Cheltenham. If the going is in his favour, he has every chance." She added: "We want someone to make it rain, the softer the better for him. "It's a big team effort at the yard and that's the way we all like it, if you asked me to marry this horse I would. Cross Kennon is now entered for the World Hurdle and the Pertemps Hurdle at Cheltenham after the 8/1 chance beat the favourite Bensalem in the Totescoop6 Hurdle by 15 lengths on Saturday.
