Binocular won the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March

Newbury will stage the Fighting Fifth Hurdle, which features champion hurdler Binocular, on Saturday after Newcastle's fixture was abandoned.

The Grade One race will be run as the second contest on its card at 1225 GMT.

Newbury's feature race will see Denman bid for an historic third Hennessy Gold Cup win, while dual hurdler Big Buck's also runs at the fixture.

Binocular is making his seasonal return under Tony McCoy and his rivals will include the promising Peddlers Cross.

Newbury clerk of the course Richard Osgood is thrilled by the prospect of a bumper card.

"It's fantastic. It's great to be able to help out everybody out and we're looking forward to tomorrow," he said.
