Noseda began training at his Newmarket stables in 1998 |
Newmarket trainer Jeremy Noseda is considering entering Sans Frontieres in November's Melbourne Cup. The four-year-old produced an eye-catching performance to win the Princess of Wales Stakes at Newmarket's July Festival. Noseda said on his website: "I have spoken to Sir Robert Ogden and his racing manager Barry Simpson. "We are looking at the Irish St Leger and perhaps a tilt at the Melbourne Cup could be an end-of-season target." He added: "I was delighted with his performance. He has started cantering again but future plans for him are still a little fluid." | We shall look at the Nunthorpe and the Sprint Cup at Haydock and hopefully we shall get an ease in conditions in one of those Jeremy Noseda on plans for Fleeting spirit |
San Frontieres could be Noseda's second runner in the Australian race, with his stable also looking at the possibility of saddling three-year-old Theology for the two-mile handicap. Noseda has also been plotting the next move for Fleeting Spirit, who finished fifth in her attempt to defend the July Cup last week. "I was satisfied with her performance, but unfortunately we felt that she did not let herself down on the fast ground," he said. "We shall look at the Nunthorpe and the Sprint Cup at Haydock and hopefully we shall get an ease in conditions in one of those."
