His stablemate Midas Touch clocked a lightning quick time in his trial and can figure, while REWILDING for Frankie Dettori looks bred to do the job with stamina throughout his pedigree.

Bullet Train looks set to improve while Ted Spread may run well at a big price.

Bred in America, bought for a whopping $1.6m (£1.1m) by the powerful Godolphin training operation in March 2009.

Finished ninth in the 2000 Guineas, won by Makfi in May.

Beaten by just over six lengths that day and expected to improve.

Likely pacemaker for the Ballydoyle team, which has two much better-fancied runners in the race.

Second to Chabal at Sandown before winning Dee Stakes at Chester.

Strong finish caught the eye. Highly rated jockey makes his Derby debut at the age of 21. Trainer won the big race in 1997 with Benny The Dip.

4 1-21 BULLET TRAIN Henry Cecil Tom Queally

Won his Lingfield trial in good style. Trainer, who has been fighting stomach cancer for three years, is seeking his fifth Derby success after wins with Slip Anchor (1985), Reference Point (1987) Commander in Chief (1993) and Oath (1999).

Jockey having first Epsom Derby ride.

5 355-04 BUZZWORD Mahmood Al Zarooni Ahmed Ajtebi

One of two horses owned by the Godolphin operation, backed by Sheikh Mohammed, to be added to the field on Monday at a cost of £75,000 each.

Twice a winner in 10 races. This looks a stiff task.

Third behind Cape Blanco and Workforce in Dante Stakes. Could run well without winning.

Newmarket trainer landed the race in 2005 with Motivator.

Former champion jockey has enjoyed some good mounts, but has never won the big race.

Beaten by Coordinated Cut and Workforce this season.

Suitably named on a day where temperatures are forecast to top 25C (80F).

Ousted long-time favourite St Nicholas Abbey (later ruled out with injury) as market leader in the last 10 days.

Easy winner of the Ganilule Stakes. Picked ahead of Midas Touch by stable jockey Johnny Murtagh. But has he made the right choice?

Trained by the man who seems to have the midas touch, O'Brien is seeking his third Derby win after triumphs for Galileo (2001) and High Chaparral (2002).

They both won the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, as did this son of Galileo. Twice beaten by Jan Vermeer, it is possible he could turn the tables with different conditions here.

Another Godolphin contender added to the race late on at a cost of £75,000.

Chosen to be the mount of Frankie Dettori by the training operation's boss Sheikh Mohammed.

Stable are bullish about Goodwood winner, and jockey ended his Derby hoodoo in 2007 with Authorised.

11 013-1 TED SPREAD Mark Tompkins Michael Hills

Owned by a trio called the False Nose 'n Glasses Partnership. Don't ask, it's a long story.

One of the more likelier long shots, has an outside chance of making the frame with an improved showing from his decent Chester Vase victory.

12 1-2 WORKFORCE Sir Michael Stoute Ryan Moore

Runner-up to Cape Blanco (who heads for the French Derby on Sunday) in the Dante Stakes at York. Suspect the course may not be ideal and no horse has gone on to win the Epsom Classic after being beaten in that trial.

Trainer has won the race four times, with Shergar (1981), Shahrastani (1986), Kris Kin (2003) and North Light (2004).
