Uttoxeter's family fun day is set to beat the weather

The busiest month of the year at Uttoxeter Racecourse ends on Sunday with the family fun day set to take place at the Staffordshire track.

Crowds for the corresponding meeting over the last three years have been affected because of poor weather.

Course general manager David MacDonald told BBC Radio Stoke: "We have had one eye on the weather forecast but it's looking favourable which is a relief."

The first race at the Staffordshire course on Sunday is at 1410 BST.
