Snoopy Loopy has been added to the field for the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park on Boxing Day.

Connections of Peter Bowen's charge, who won the Betfair Chase at Haydock in November, paid �10,000 to put the improving 10-year-old in contention.

Former Gold Cup winner Kauto Star, bidding for a third consecutive win in the race, heads the contenders.

Paul Nicholls' stable hero will need to recover from a poor show in the Betfair Chase where he unseated Sam Thomas.

Only Desert Orchid has won the Christmas showpiece three years in succession.

Of 12 other confirmations, former Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Voy Por Ustedes will race over three miles for the first time for Alan King while Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Imperial Commander represents Nigel Twiston-Davies.

Our Vic, runner-up last year but conqueror of Kauto Star at Aintree in April, will make his seasonal reappearance alongside David Pipe stablemate Tamarinbleu.

Another former Cheltenham Gold Cup winner War Of Attrition will run in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown on 28 December instead while Exotic Dancer and Air Force One are also entered in both races.

Andrew Balding's Briareus, SunAlliance Chase winner Albertas Run and huge outsider Mont Misere complete the Kempton field.
