Takeover Target will go to Royal Ascot in good form

Australia-trained Royal Ascot regular Takeover Target battled to victory in the KrisFlyer International Sprint at Kranji, Singapore.

Ridden as usual by Jay Ford, the nine-year-old held off fellow Australian raider Magnus.

The 3/4-mile race was run in a record time and represented Takeover Target's sixth success at Group One level.

NSW trainer Joe Janiak will now aim the horse at the King's Stand Stakes and Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
