Moscow claims Punchestown chase
Moscow Flyer and jockey Barry Geraghty
Moscow Flyer was 2-11 favourite for the race at Punchestown
Moscow Flyer produced an exemplary round of jumping to land the Byrne Group Tied Cottage Chase by two and a half lengths at Punchestown.

The 11-year-old was foot perfect at his fences and made all the running during the two-mile Grade Three race.

Sent off the 2-11 favourite, Moscow seemed to idle before the last but quickened to win ahead of Steel Band.

Moscow Flyer is fancied to repeat his 2003 win in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March.

"I am delighted with the way that he jumped, it was absolutely brilliant," said trainer Jessica Harrington.

"He had no company, and Barry says that when he makes the running he will never win far.

"I was more nervous today than before the Tingle Creek, but it is now all systems go for Cheltenham."
