Newlands North, trained by Michael O'Brien, won the Specsavers Ulster Derby at the Summer Festival of Racing at Down Royal on Saturday. Ridden by Rory Cleary, the 10-1 shot came home a length and a half ahead of Callow Lake, the Jessica Harrington trained 5-1 favourite.
Raggtime Toon (7-1) was third of the 14 runners in the big race of the three-day festival.
The richest flat race staged in the province boasts a �35,000 first prize.
