Beef beaten on return
Beef Or Salmon was fifth in the Anglo Irish Bank Munster National Handicap Chase
Beef Or Salmon could finish only fifth behind Colca Canyon on his seasonal debut at Limerick on Sunday.

The 7-4 favourite found the task of giving upwards of 23lb to his rivals in the Anglo Irish Bank Munster National Handicap Chase too much.

Colca Canyon, trained by Jessica Harrington, won at odds on 8-1 ahead of Risk Accessor, the mount of Tony McCoy.

Barrow Drive unseated Jim Culloty at the second-last when sharing the lead with Colca Canyon and Risk Accessor.

Takagi finished well to take third.

Beef Or Salmon raced in third for most of the way, jumping well, but backpedalled at the business end before staying on.

William Hill have left Beef Or Salmon's price for the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup unchanged at 10-1, but Cashmans were unimpressed and pushed him out to 12-1 from 8-1.
