Beef Or Salmon was an impressive winner of the Punchestown Heineken Gold Cup. The eight-year-old, who was fourth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, cruised to a four-length victory in the big race of the five-day Irish festival.
Jockey Timmy Murphy enjoyed an armchair ride as Beef Or Salmon claimed his third win of the season.
Harbour Pilot, who was runner-up to Best Mate at Cheltenham, had to settle for second again with last year's Punchestown winner First Gold third.
Trainer Michael Hourigan was delighted with Beef Or Salmon's display and said the horse would be aimed at Cheltenham again next year.
"That was brilliant. He jumped brilliant and Timmy said there was never a worry," he said.
