A selection of pundits reveal what they are most looking forward to at the 2004 Cheltenham Festival (16-18 March). I'm most looking forward to seeing the place taken over by the horses and the enthusiastic crowd.
It is the chemistry kit of the crowd and the horses and the place getting it together - the sheer passion running through the three days and people looking absolutely shattered, but begging for more.
Riding Moscow Flyer in the Champion Chase and Pizarro in the Royal & SunAlliance Chase. They are my best chances of winners. Feeling that unique Cheltenham atmosphere again, which comes from the quality of the racing.
There is nothing better than to see four or five horses jumping the last at Cheltenham and coming up that hill.
I'm looking forward to it starting as quickly as possible.
It's a worrying time for all trainers leading up to Cheltenham.
You're just hoping everyone stays sounds in the days beforehand.
Honestly, savouring three days rather than four (the length of the meeting from next year) because I fear that the extension will dilute the quality. And, of course, Best Mate's attempt at immortality.
The match between reigning champion Moscow Flyer and young pretender Azertyuiop in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
Moscow Flyer got the better of his challenger in the William Hill Tingle Creek last year.
But Azertyuiop showed how much he had improved being second by 1/4 length under a big weight in the Victor Chandler Chase and it is all set up to be the most mouthwatering match of the Festival.
