 | Spencer guided Macadamia home |
Joint-favourite Macadamia surged clear to land the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket.
The filly, winner of the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot, followed up in fine style with Jamie Spencer aboard.
She finished a length clear of Waldmark, with another half-length to German raider Walzerkoenigin.
The win provided more cheer for owner Lord Vestey, the chairman of Cheltenham Racecourse, and in-form trainer James Fanshawe.
Fanshawe said the horse was getting better with age.
"She's got a lot stronger from three to four, she's really come into her own," he said.

Earlier, Kieren Fallon's mount Nevisian Lad came through late to take the July Stakes.
The two-year-old colt collided with Cape Fear while claiming a gap close to home, but emerged a worthy winner.
Nevisian Lad was third behind Russian Valour after a slow start at Royal Ascot last month.
But Fallon ensured there were few worries this time as he secured victory by a length from Cape Fear, with Frankie Dettori's mount Byron a short-head further back in third.
Champion jockey Fallon was clearly impressed with the performance of the winner, trained locally by Michael Bell.
"He's beat a decent field, and can only improve," said Fallon.
