Vikings win women's hockey title

Hockey

Vikings A won their third successive Women's Premier League title on Saturday after a 2-0 victory over Valkyrs A at the NSC in Douglas.

Strikes from Kim Carney and Dani Coombes maintained Vikings' 100% record for the season and secured the title.

Meanwhile, third-placed Castletown A beat bottom side Ramsey A 4-0 at Castle Rushen High School.

Elsewhere, Vikings A ensured they remain in the men's title race with a 4-2 victory over rivals Bacchas A.

The win saw Vikings A move above Bacchas A into second position.

Valkyrs A remain top by just one point after thrashing Castletown A 8-0.
