Natalie Seymour has been called up to England women's Champions Challenge squad to replace Anne Panter. Panter had been named in the squad after an injury-plagued four-year absence but sustained a hamstring injury and will miss the event.
Seymour, 20, won her only cap against world champions Holland last November.
The six-team tournament also involves hosts Azerbaijan, China, Korea, New Zealand and the USA and takes place in Baku from 9-17 June.
Head coach Danny Kerry said: "I'm looking forward to giving a significant opportunity to a number of players."
England finished fourth in the 2005 Champions Challenge, losing 2-1 to Japan in the bronze medal play-off.
Ranked 11th in the world, England will begin their campaign on Saturday 9 June against New Zealand, the 2005 winners.
They then face Korea on Sunday 10 June, the USA on 12 June, Azerbaijan on 14 June and China on 16 June.
