Smith won bronze on the pommel horse in Beijing |
Peterborough gymnast Louis Smith says he is determined to bounce back in style following a disappointing display at the World Championships. The 20-year-old made a costly error in the pommel horse final at the 02 Arena to come last overall. The Olympic bronze medallist told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Things can only get better. "Hopefully I can prove to everyone that I should be on the podium at the European Championships." Those Championships take place in Birmingham next year. "I'm still early on in my career, so I'm not going to beat myself up about it," Smith added. "You have to understand that you are not going to be perfect all the time."
