A delighted Tweddle celebrates her historic world title |
Beth Tweddle reached the final of the women's floor competition on her return to action at the European Individual Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Tweddle, Britain's world uneven bars champion, has had surgery on her shoulder and only decided to compete in the Amsterdam event at the last minute.
However, she is not yet fit enough to defend her European uneven bars title.
Marissa King made it through to the vault final and Hannan Clowes qualified in the overall competition.
Commonwealth champion Louis Smith is also in Britain's team and hopes to progress in the pommel horse apparatus.
The individual all-around final takes place on Saturday and the individual apparatus finals on Sunday.
