Wales claimed a record haul of eight gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the Northern European Gymnastics Championship in Lisburn. Cardiff's Lynette Lisle, 16, was the star performer, gold in the floor and silver in the A-bars seeing her claim the overall individual victory.
Newport's Rhian Pugh, also 16, won overall silver after gold in the A-bars and bronze in the beam.
Melanie Roberts and Jessica Gazzi also impressed in the overall team gold.
Swansea's Gazzi gave a fine performance in the vault, while 17-year-old Roberts from Chester won gold on the beam.
In the men's competition David Eaton, who is currently studying at university in San Francisco, took gold in the floor and the high bar and silver in the pommel horse. That left him third overall, keeping him on target to achieve a coveted Commonwealth Games place and mount a medal challenge.
With more Commonwealth trials looming, 10 gymnasts are competing for the five available spots and the opportunity to pull on the red vest in the prized competitive senior arena.
"Gymnastics has gone from strength to strength in recent years," said Helen Phillips, the Chair of Welsh Gymnastics.
"We have modernised, appointed a national coach in Tracey Skirton, and taken a more gymnast-centred approach.
"The results are rich reward for the efforts on both athletes and coaches, and I am confident that better things are still to come."
