 Conor Swail and Rivaal secured victory at the Odyssey |
Conor Swail claimed the Sherell Duke Memorial Cup in the Northern Ireland International Horse Show at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on Sunday. The Saintfield rider clinched victory on Dutch-bred chestnut gelding Revaal in a 12-horse jump-off to secure the �10,000 first prize.
Cork's Bill Twomey was second aboard Anastasia with Englishman Robert Bevis on Lucy May in third.
Swail had earlier won Class 11 on Alaska followed by the Twomey.
Robert Whitaker dominated the action at the Odyssey on Saturday.
The Great Britain rider won three of the classes, starting with the International Show Jumping Stakes aboard Vicky van de Grundaval.
He went on to win the International Speed Grand Prix on Karina and the Puissance event on Finbarr V.
Ireland also enjoyed success with Twomey winning the International Top Score aboard Whinny Jackson.
Twomey was second to Whitaker in the International Show Jumping Stakes.
Another Irish competitor, Shane Breen, was also to the fore, claiming a second, third and fourth position.
