| Nick Skelton took third place in the world's richest showjumping event, the �700,000 Al Maktoum Memorial Challenge Grand Prix in Dubai, on Arko III. Arko topped the British prize money list at the end of 2005 and began 2006 with a third prize of �67,000. Arko's four faults in the jump off gave him third behind Ireland's winner Jessica Kurten and Quibell. Tim Gredley on Omelli was 12th, and John Whitaker finished in 17th place with Exploit du Roulard.
