Phillips earned her place thanks to her performance in Germany |
Zara Phillips has been selected for Great Britain's European Championships squad in September. The 24-year-old's selection was confirmed on Monday after her second-place finish on Toytown at Luhmuehlen, Germany.
Phillips, who will again ride Toytown at Blenheim, was one of four debutants added to the British squad.
The other new faces were James Robinson (Comanche), Oliver Townend (Topping) and Matthew Wright (Park Pilot).
They join Jeanette Brakewell (Over To You), William Fox-Pitt (Tamarillo), Pippa Funnell (Primmore's Pride), Leslie Law (Shear l'Eau or Coup de Coeur), Kitty Boggis (Five Boys), Daisy Dick (Spring Along), Polly Stockton (Tangleman) and Marie Louise Thomas (The Psephologist).
Team manager Yogi Breisner said: "There were 15 riders fighting for the last four places. It was very hard to make the decisions."
