Jones was approached by the FA whilst manager of a club in Coventry |
Warwickshire physiotherapist Mat Jones hopes to be celebrating Paralympic medal success in London next year. Jones, who works at Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital, is the physio for Great Britain's blind football team. He said: "We are currently ranked fourth in the world so we are definitely in with a shout of bringing home a medal. We're aiming for gold. "I never really dreamed that I would ever walk out at a Paralympics opening ceremony so it will be a proud moment." Jones is in the Netherlands this month assuming a similar role for England's cerebral palsy team that are set to take part in the CPISRA seven-a-side football world championships.
