Britain's Sean Rose has won a silver in the final skiing competition ahead of the Winter Paralympics, which begin in Vancouver on 12 March. Rose, competing in Aspen in the second downhill race of the International Paralympic Committee World Cup, managed a time of 1:14.11 to finish second. It followed the 39-year-old's downhill gold at Siestra two months ago. The World Cup ends on Friday and Rose has chances for further success in the super-G and super combined events. After that, he will compete in all five Paralympic ski events - he downhill, the super G, the super combined, the giant slalom, and the slalom. Six other skiers and five wheelchair curlers will be also be representing Britain at the Paralympics as part of the team Paralympics GB.
