Suffolk wheelchair athlete Brian Alldis struggled in the Beijing heat on the final day of the Paralympics, in the T64 men's marathon. The 22-year-old from Bury St Edmunds finished 34th despite starting well. Earlier in the competition in China, he had to withdraw from his favoured 5,000m event following a problem with his right glove. He told BBC Sport: "I really wanted to make finals but I'm glad I came. The experience has been fantastic."
