The Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball team made a good start to their European Championship campaign with three wins out of three. Murray Treseder's side recorded victories over the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Spain.
The women's team boosted their hopes with a win over France although they lost to Germany and the Netherlands
The top four men's and the top three women's teams will qualify for the Beijing Paralympics.
GB got the better of the Czech Republic 73-36 after going 22-3 ahead by the end of the first quarter.
Simon Munn led the scoring with 16 points and then hit 17 points in the 65-48 win over Bosnia.
But Munn saved his best performance of the tournament so far for the 77-59 win over Spain with 33 points while Jon Pollock added 20 as GB pulled away in the second half.
They face further pool games against France and Sweden before the semi-finals on Friday.
After an opening 68-34 defeat to a strong Germany side, the women recovered superbly to defeat France 42-32, thanks to 11 points from Helen Turner and nine apiece from Sally Wager and Clare Strange.
But they struggled against the Netherlands on Tuesday, losing 55-34 and must now win their final pool games against Spain and Turkey as they chase a place in Beijing.
