The GB crew won world gold at Dorney Lake in Eton last year |
Great Britain's mixed coxed four won gold in the inaugural World Cup race for adaptive rowers in Amsterdam. The GB crew pulled away in the middle of the race, after the Dutch crew made a strong start, to win in a time of three minutes 35.75 seconds.
The team of Vicki Hansford, Naomi Riches, Alistair McKean and Alan Crowther and cox Tamsin Cottle finished six seconds clear of their rivals.
Great Britain are the world champions in the event.
They will defend their crown in Munich later this summer, in an event which will also be a qualifier for next year's Beijing Paralympics.
"It feels pretty special to have won the first World Cup gold," said McKean afterwards.
"I think it's a sign of things to come because there is so much more we can achieve," added Hansford.
