Clegg is one of Britain's top Paralympic sprinting talents |
Paralympic hope Libby Clegg dominated the field in her home town to win a 200m race for disabled athletes at the Norwich Union Glasgow Grand Prix. The blind 17-year-old, reunited with guide runner Lincoln Asquith, won in 26.78 seconds at Scotstoun Stadium.
Tracey Hinton, another blind athlete, crossed in second but was disqualified because her guide runner preceded her.
British cerebral palsy athlete Katrina Hart was awarded second place in a personal best time of 30.69.
Clegg admitted to feeling the pressure of being tipped for success at the Paralympic Games in Bejing next year.
"It's nerve-racking because I didn't think I'd get this far," she told BBC Sport.
"It's going to be difficult to qualify because there are no major competitions this year but I've got to do my best."
