Petitclerc set a new world record in Melbourne last month |
Paralympic star Chantal Petitclerc has been forced to miss the Visa Paralympic World Cup in Manchester. The Canadian wheelchair racer, who won five gold medals at the Athens Games in 2004, has been advised by doctors not to travel following a recent illness.
Petitclerc was due to race in the 200m and 800m events after winning two golds in the event last year.
The Paralympic World Cup, which runs from 1-7 May, will feature over 350 world-class athletes from 41 countries.
There will be live TV coverage of the event on BBC2's Sunday Grandstand at 1330-1730 BST on 7 May
