Roberts joins team for Melbourne
Dave Roberts
Roberts enjoyed a hugely successful Athens Paralympics
Paralympic gold medallist Dave Roberts has been added to Wales' Commonwealth Games swimming team for Melbourne.

He will compete in the 50m and 100m freestyle in a multi disability event which will see him pitted against athletes of varying disability classes.

The 25-year-old joins fellow Athens Paralympian Rhiannon Henry in the team.

Said coach Bill Pye: "David faces some tough competition but he has the advantage of having a wealth of experience behind him."

Roberts won four golds and a silver at last year's Athens Paralympics, setting two world records in the process.

He won bronze over 100m in Manchester in the 2002 Commonwealth Games and was fifth in the 50m.
