Pearson won three gold medals at the Athens Paralympics |
Great Britain's Paralympic dressage team will be part of a parade of 2004 equestrian champions at this week's London International Horse Show. The team had a very successful Paralympics, winning eight medals, including five golds.
They will join the likes of Olympic champion Leslie Law and Pippa Funnell at Olympia on Thursday.
"It is a very nice way to end what has been a fantastic year," said Lee Pearson, who won three golds in Athens.
Pearson, who was named BBC Midlands Sports Personality of the Year last week, knows that the annual Olympia event holds a lot of memories for people involved in the sport.
"Coming so close to Christmas, there is always a very special atmosphere there and it is great for us to be part of that," he added.
Pearson will be joined by team-mates Debbie Criddle and Nicola Tustain in the parade.
Like Pearson, Criddle won three golds in Athens while Tustain took two individual bronzes and a gold in the team event.
"It will be great to see the others on the team again," said Tustain.
"I think that in front of the crowd at Olympia we will realise exactly what we have achieved this year."
