Tustain misses top award
Paralympic dressage rider Nicola Tustain
Tustain won a gold and a bronze at the Sydney Paralympics
Paralympic dressage rider Nicola Tustain missed out on an award at the prestigious Laureus Sports Awards in Portugal on Monday.

Tustain, who will find out later this month if she is off to Athens, was nominated in the World Disability Sportsperson of the year category.

Canadian amputee sprinter Earle Connor won in Tustain's category.

Other category winners included F1 driver Michael Scumacher, golfer Anika Sorestam and the England rugby team.

The awards ceremony was presented by former Wimbledon tennis champion John McEnroe and model Rachel Hunter.

Other awards presented on the night included World Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year, Team of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Comeback of the Year.
