  GB captain Ann Wild was injured during the match |
The British women's basketball team found the going tough against the USA in their final Paralympic group match, losing 74-24. They were up against it from the start as the Americans raced to a 42-12 lead by half-time. Britain suffered a further blow in the third quarter when captain Ann Wild was forced out with a facial injury. Caroline Matthews was top-scorer for GB. who face Germany in the Thursday's quarter-finals, on only five points.
