Norfolk has his sights on the US Open |
Peter Norfolk continued his good run of form as he claimed the men's quad final of the Lakeshore Foundation World Challenge in Alabama. The Hampshire player, who climbed to number one in the world rankings this week, beat Israel's Sharaga Weinberg 6-3 6-2.
Fellow Briton Jayant Mistry and France's Michael Jeremiasz settled for runners-up spot in the men's doubles.
The duo fell 6-1 6-0 to the top seeds David Hall and Robin Ammerlaan.
Mistry and Norfolk will lead a strong British contingent at the forthcoming US Open.
It is the third and final event on the tour to have Super Series status - the equivalent of a Grand Slam.
David Gardner will also travel to the tournament in California in confident mood after he beat Mexico's Rene Coronoa 6-0 7-5 in the men's second draw single's final at the Tahoe Donner International.
