Norfolk reaches top spot
Peter Norfolk
Norfolk has been in superb form
Britain's Peter Norfolk has become the world number one in quad wheelchair tennis.

The Hampshire-based player beat American David Wagner 7-5 6-3 to claim victory in the PTR/ROHO Championship.

But bonus points for reaching the final saw Norfolk gain a two-point advantage over the American at the top of the world rankings.

Norfolk has had a year to remember after victories in the British and French Opens.

There was no such luck for British number one Jayant Mistry, who lost 6-0 6-1 to top seed Australian David Hall in the men's main singles in South Carolina.
