Colin Lloyd celebrates his win over Andree Welge |
Colin Lloyd apologised for punching the board in frustration during his 3-2 victory over Andree Welge at the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace. Lloyd, who surrendered a 2-0 lead to Welge, said: "Andree ripped me 3-0, 3-0 and I let it get to me. I apologise to everyone, but I'm showing my emotion." Englishman Lloyd is joined in the second round by Ronnie Baxter, who beat Dutchman Roland Scholten 3-0. Scholten's compatriot Co Stompe crashed out, losing 3-1 to Peter Wright. Adrian Lewis survived a final-set flourish from Tony Eccles, who hit eight 180's in the final set, to win 3-0 and move into the second round.
