Martin Adams is the reigning Winmau World Masters champion

The British Darts Organisation has extended the sponsorship deal for two of its most prestigious events.

Darts and dartboard manufacturer Winmau will back both the World Masters and BDO British Classic through to 2015.

The new contract, which also covers Winmau boards being used at all BDO tournaments, extends the commercial partnership into a fourth decade.

The World Masters, which will be broadcast by the BBC in October, was first played in 1974.

The current champion is Martin Adams, who successfully defended his crown in Bridlington last September. He is also the reigning Lakeside World Darts title-holder.
