Andy Fordham will return to top-level darts 11 months after falling ill at the Lakeside World Championships. Kent's 2004 BDO world champion has accepted an invitation for November's Winmau World Masters in Bridlington.
Fordham took part in his first event since January's Lakeside scare at the Turunc Open in Turkey earlier this month, reaching the semi-finals.
But the popular figure is now set for a return to the world stage and another tilt at the title he won in 1999.

"This is wonderful news for the sport of darts," said a BDO a spokesman.
"Andy is an integral part of the BDO family and it is great to have him back on the oche where he belongs."
