Jelle Klaasen celebrates his shock title win at Lakeside |
The Lakeside World Championship will use 16 seedings next year for the first time since 1981 - but champion Jelle Klaasen is not among them. The list, doubled in length since 2006, also excludes ex-winner Andy Fordham.
England's Martin Adams is top of the list, which is taken from the British Darts Organisation's rankings.
"We are making the change to keep the top-ranked players apart in round one. It increases competition for the unseeded players," the BDO said.
