Taylor title bid remains on track
Phil Taylor
Taylor is looking for a sixth title
Phil Taylor scored eight 180s on his way to a 4-0 win over Mark Dudbridge in the quarter-final of the World Grand Prix in Dublin.

Taylor served notice early on as he took the first three legs, scoring three maximums along the way.

"It was a bit like a boxing match and I just had to hit him as hard and as quick as I could," said Taylor.

"I've pushed myself hard because I wanted to perform and do the business. I really want to win this tournament."

Taylor now faces Dennis Smith in the semi-final, and the winner of that game will face either defending champion Colin Lloyd or Dennis Priestley.

'The Power' said Lloyd's impressive form in the last 12 months was one of his main motivating factors.

"He inspires me every day," said Taylor.

"I practice seven days a week because he inspires me to get better and better.
