Riders hold a minute's silence before the start of the 7th stage of the Tour after the bombings in London yesterday Australian Robbie McEwen along with Fabian Wegmann makes the first significant move at the 46km mark The peloton chase the breakaway riders but Wegmann grabs the first points at the summit of the Col de la Chipotte Lance Armstrong is with the peloton as they show no signs of catching Wegmann whose lead stretches to eight minutes Wegmann leads for more than 100km but the peloton gradually reduce the deficit to less than five minutes As they gradually catch the runaway leader the peloton have to contend with some changeable weather conditions Somewhat inevitably the rainy weather leads to a fall as several riders collide within the chasing peloton The pack finally catch Wegmann up at the 25km mark and the race is set for a tense uphill sprint for the finish Robbie McEwen wins his second stage on this year's Tour edging out Sweden's Magnus Backstedt after an uphill sprint
