Geraint Thomas warmed up for the Tour de France by beating Team Sky colleague Pete Kennaugh to the British national road race title in Pendle, Lancashire.
Welshman Thomas, 24, put a bike length between himself and the Isle of Man's Kennaugh to ensure the victory in a thrilling finish to a race dominated by Team Sky riders.
Ian Stannard completed a clean sweep of the podium for the team, which is managed by British Cycling's performance director, Dave Brailsford.
Thomas will join Bradley Wiggins and Steve Cummings in the British contingent of the Team Sky line-up for the Tour de France, which begins on Saturday, 3 July 2010.
