Briton Emma Pooley won her second stage race of the season with a victory in Italy's Giro di Trentino. Pooley won Friday's opening stage and stayed out of trouble on Sunday's 72km ride to win ahead of Germans Judith Arndt and Claudia Hausler. Arndt and Hausler also came second and third in Sunday's final stage which was won by Italian Eleonora Patuzzo. "It was wet and cold and the team really held it together," said Pooley, who won the Tour de L'Aude in May. "It went really well, we kept the jersey, the team worked hard and rode very aggressively and we were able to makes some attacks," added the 2008 Olympic time-trial silver medallist who rides for the Cervelo Test Team.
