Team Sky's state-of-the-art team bus - designed to be the perfect environment for their riders before and after racing - rolled into action for the first time this week at the start of the European road-racing cycling season
The mobile HQ has a space-age interior with a lay-out intended to be perfect for riders' rest and recovery as part of the team's philosophy of making 'marginal gains' - garnering an advantage by any means possible
Team psychiatrist Dr Steve Peters has overseen the installation of an adjustable mood-lighting system which he believes will assist the riders when they need to relax post-race, or when they have to focus beforehand
During races like the Tour de France, each rider will have his own 'pod' - seats that are complete with electric calf supports and have access to entertainment and information resources as well as gadgets like laptops
The front of the bus features a projector and roll-down screen for pre-race briefings, while the luggage compartments hold washing machines and tumble driers to ensure the Team Sky kit also gets the right treatment
Go through the sliding doors and you find showers, toilets - and another section housing a meeting room and massage area where riders can get a much-needed rub down straight after finishing a day in the saddle
The bus was put together using ideas from Formula 1 as well as input from Team Sky riders - with the goal of giving them even the slightest edge over their rivals as they chase glory this season
