Thursday: Yellow jersey holder Cancellara takes his place in the heart of the peloton as the riders head along the Costa Brava during the 181.5km journey southwards from Girona to Barcelona
With about 29km to go until the finish in Barcelona, Britain's David Millar takes a gamble and makes a break away from the pack in a brave attempt to go it alone
Millar's exhaustion is evident as he is swallowed up by the peloton in the final two kilometres and it's left to Norway's Thor Hushovd to beat the pack to the line to win the sixth stage of the Tour
Friday: The seventh stage of the Tour sees the riders face a gruelling 224km route from Barcelona to Andorra Arcalis and it's France's Brice Feillu who claims the stage with an impressive display in the saddle
Cancellara loses his grip on the yellow jersey after struggling in the first mountain stage of the Tour and it's Italy's Rinaldo Nocentini who now holds it with Armstrong third overall
