The project began when Peel commissioners approached Ramsey BMX Club for advice on how to re-vamp the facility
Ramsey BMX Club�s Mickey Cain and Juan Watney have subsequently designed and managed the project
Thanks to the free use of a digger and the hard work of both locals and Ramsey BMX club members the track is now in a ridable condition but not finished
The 200 metre track has been designed to encourage younger riders to take up the increasingly popular Olympic sport as well as providing a variation to the club�s track in Ramsey
Once the dirt has bedded in the track will be rolled and the final surface added
BMX Isle of Man will be holding a practice session on Thursday night at 1800 BST to give riders some riding tips. Cycling is a dangerous sport and it is important that the correct safety equipment is worn at all times
