Wiggins won two golds in Beijing last summer |
British rider Bradley Wiggins has pulled out of the Paris-Nice classic for personal reasons. The Garmin-Slipstream rider has returned home to be with his wife as her grandmother is seriously ill. The double Olympic pursuit champion did not start the fourth stage, a 173.5km ride from Vichy to St Etienne. Wiggins was second in Sunday's opening time trial, but he slipped to 117th overall after losing more than 11 minutes in Tuesday's third stage.
