Cyclist Mark Cavendish is being tipped by High Road team-mate George Hincapie to build on his Giro d'Italia success and win a stage of the Tour de France.

Speaking after his sprint victory in the second stage of the Dauphine Libere, Hincapie said he was confident of his team's chances.

"We've got some of the best sprinters in the world and Cavendish is perhaps the fastest in the closing stages."

The Tour de France takes place from 5 to 27 July.
