This Italian team makes no bones about the fact the Tour is not the most important race on their calendar. The Giro d'Italia once again get the 100% treatment, with Serhiy Honchar, runner-up in 2004, again pushing for the overall victory.
In the end, the Ukrainian ended the race in sixth place overall but he looks likely to have expanded too much energy for another big Tour result.
Aside from him, there are few others in the team likely to cause a stir.
However, Mirko Celestino - who has joined from Saeco - has had an impressive season to date.
That said, at 31, he is unlikely to suddenly produce a display to upset the Tour's top dogs.
