Liberty-Seguros
TEAM FACTFILE
Roberto Heras
Country: Spain
Manager: Manolo Saiz
Liberty have been very quiet and unassuming in their Tour build-up, and could prove a potent threat come July.

Team boss Manolo Saiz, the daddy of Spanish cycling, has predictably spent wisely in the transfer market.

His biggest buy is Lance Armstrong's former arch rival, Joseba Beloki, while David Extebarria, Michele Scarponi and Jorg Jaksche have also been brought in.

The team, though, is headed by last year's Tour of Spain winner, Roberto Heras, a former Armstrong team-mate.

Heras, though, had a diabolical Tour de France in 2004 and will be keen to make amends, while Beloki will be similarly fired up having missed the event altogether.

Saiz knows better than most how to train his riders and get the best out of them at exactly the right time.

Among other talents in their line-up are Isidro Nozal and Igor Gonzalez de Galdeano, who have both proved themselves on the biggest stage.
